The course contains the study of the meaning of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) in the tourism industry; types of MICE activities: importance, characteristics, technical terms, facilities and basic tools; operation plans marketing and budgeting.

The study focuses on theory of sustainable tourism. The course includes an examination of stakeholders’ roles in aspects of psychology, sociology and geography as well as interrelationship for effective planning and development on local and national /international markets. In addition, topics of tourism impacts, tourism master plans and global forces that influence on domestic and international tourism will be explored.

This course contains the study and practice in the process to manage organizations; the organizational ethics and social responsibility; elements of management functions; interpersonal and communication skills; leadership; managing changes and globalization.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

            The study focuses on ecotourism including concepts, importance, type, principle of sustainable ecotourism management, factors determining ecotourism; ecotourism destination level analysis; laws imposed and roles of public and private sectors on ecotourism promotion.

Management of human resource, interaction between environment and functions of human resource management; problems and current issues.

Hospitality and tourism marketing; principles of marketing; services characteristics; marketing for hospitality and tourism; market and product identification; factors affecting growth; marketing research and trend analysis; strategic planning for market development.
